The client wanted a lot of greenery in the overall look and feel of the residence teamed with exposed concrete and brick. He wanted to use the terrace as a social gathering pace but at the same time wanted complete privacy from his neighbours.

The site is in located in the CBD of Bangalore with two sides walls touching the adjacent building. Since there was an existing 30 year old building with footings abutting the adjacent building, there were challenges while pulling down the older building and arresting the earth underneath the footing of the adjoining buildings.
The residence is completely vastu compliant with double height windows facing East. Wooden louvres as sun shading device was used to bring in the natural light but cut out the heat through the double height windows.
Internal court at the entrance leads the eye right to the end of the residence giving a wide experience of the house. The water body with a sculpture at the staircase core creates a soothing and calm feel ambience. The bedrooms on the upper floor draw light and cross ventilation through the central court. A mediatating buddha at the central court set the essence of serenity in this residence.
